Rural Ottawa most vulnerable from loophole in provincial rules | Opinion

If green energy enthusiasts think battery storage will mean a significantly bigger future for wind and solar, they ought to look at the province’s energy plan more carefully. It doesn’t rely on renewable energy. Instead, it foresees a big nuclear power expansion, with that source supplying 75 per cent of Ontario’s power by 2050, up from 50 per cent now. Renewables will increase over the next few years, then stay stable and start to decline in the 2040s as more nuclear comes online….
